How do you go on when in your heart you understand there's no going back, For there are things time can't mend, Hurts that go deep & have taken hold..

Tuesday, September 20, 2005 - Congrats, 'Da Jie'! :

Last Sunday, I have just attended the wedding dinner of the sweetest and kindest girl that I have ever met so far in my life. Haha. Yah, this person is my 'Da Jie' (cousin). She's actually the first cousin on my mother's side to actually get married also (she's the eldest anyway :p). Well, I guess what they said is true, the prettiest moment of a woman's life is actually when she is in her wedding gown. I must say she looked astonising (Hmm, most of my female cousins on mother's side are actually quite pretty). It really warmth my heart seeing her so happy then and I could actually sense it when I congratulated her.

Thinking back when we were younger, 'Da Jie' has always been the doting sister. Could still vividly remember the times where she and 'Er Jie' would actually bring my brother and I out for outings, watching movies and having dinner; and always, the expenses are being forked out from her own pocket. And 'Da Jie' never resorts to scolding us, instead spending effort to talk sense into us. Then, sometimes on saturday, we would meet up at 'Ah Ma' s house where we will play silly games, running all over the block. Those were the days, where that kinship bond between us was strong. As each of us grow up, I guess everyone has a path in life which they wish to lead, and we hardly meet up these days except special occasions such as 'Ah Ma's birthday or Chinese New Year.

'Da Jie' finally got 'officially' married off. Actually, the four eldest cousins on my side all got married or going to be, except that in chinese customs, only when we have their wedding dinner, will they be recognised as 'married'. Well, coming up next year is my 'Er Jie's wedding dinner. Since I am 5th oldest, come next year, my relatives will start repeating those 'nagging' stuff like 'Got girlfriend?'. Argh. Those nagging relatives. Lolx.

So, where are you, my love? Lolx.
